XS hair salon was opened by Joe Lavallo in 1989 and then taken over by Angelica in 2015. The salon was then revamped by her two incredibly talented daughters Lorena and Magaly, who are now co-owners of the salon. XS hair salon also specializes in bridal makeup and during prom season they offer makeup and hair packages. I came across XS hair Salon while dining at Aquario, which is my favorite Peruvian restaurant in PortChester. With over 20+ services, this Salon is a one stop shop for all your beauty needs for Men and Women.
Salon 70
Salon 70 was opened in 2013 by Edgar and Goyo who combined have 40 years of experience. I had the pleasure of getting my hair cut and styled by Edgar. He was so precise when cutting and shaping my hair. I swear whenever he cuts my hair it grows faster! He understands my hair type and how to style it! Since they only work by appointment it’s important to book an appointment way in advance.
The Beauty Parlor
The Beauty Parlor was created from a dream into reality by it’s owner, Jessica Kachmar. Born and raised in Westchester County, since high school, she knew she wanted to become a hairstylist while working for her cosmotology teacher’s salon. In her own words “I loved seeing how a hairstylist gave their clients a whole sense of empowerment as they left the salon”. The Beauty Parlor was opened in 2014 and later moved into a modern, lofty like space in 2017. Since opening up her first location, The Beauty Parlor has also grown and expanded it’s services. Besides, hair and makeup they also offer lash & brow services, facials and even Energy healing!
VaZa Hair Salon
Another dynamic sister duo Val Tana and Zamira envisioned VaZa Hair Salon and made it a reality in 2013. VaZa Hair Salon specializes in curly hair and Balagaye highlights. Voted Best In Westchester for 2018 and I can clearly see why. I recently visited this Salon for my first curly cut. I was immediately impressed by the beautiful layout of the salon, such a cohesive vibe. The staff was so professional and very attentive, they even had walkie talkie headsets to communicate efficiently. The hair cut and style was different from anything I have ever experienced, not only did I like the results but Lauren and Christina really taught me on how to properly care and style my hair naturally. If you are looking to enhance the natural look and texture of your hair, I definitely recommend a visit to this salon.
GlLGlamBar
Ginna Marie Tummolo turned her passion into her career when she opened GlamBar in August of 2015. Glambar is a boutique sized salon which is great for a more personalized one on one experience. Besides providing hair, makeup and bridal services at the salon, they also provide at home services which they call Glamorous house calls.
