Post Thanksgiving and the Holiday shopping season has officially begun! But before hitting “add to cart” in your amazon account, think about visiting your local shops. This year more than ever it’s important to show support to the small shops and family owned businesses here in Westchester!
I recently did some local shopping and decided to put together a list of small shops that I think you will like!

The Swanshouse
This aesthetically alluring unique gem, is located in Tarrytown, NY. Owned by wife and husband, Sara & Arthur, who moved from Brooklyn and opened The Swan’s House in October of 2019. Here you can find captivating vintage pieces, candles, stationeries, ornaments, puzzles, books, throw blankets, the cutest shell pillows and more!
LOLA NY
Get chic and stylish while Holiday shopping at Lola’s boutique! You can find trendy clothes, accessories and jewelry. The boutique is co-owned by Dawn and Dennis who’s friendship has grown since their sons, now teenagers, were in kindergarten together.
Their main location is in White Plains, NY and they have a second location in Tuckahoe, NY and also sell online at lolany.com!
Pretty Funny Vintage
You never know what you will find at Pretty Funny Vintage! That is what makes it all the more fun to visit this shop. Owner Stephaine, who is an expert at vintage shopping, showcases her hand picked selection inside her shop. This historic Victorian house is located in Tarrytown, NY (not too far from The Swan house).You can explore the 2 floors which have vintage and contemporary pieces like furniture, vintage clothing and jewelry.
Phat Olive
For the cook in your life, pop into Phatoliveoil. They carry a grand selection of high quality olive oil and vinegars (among many cute kitchen accessories). They even offer custom gift baskets! This is a Family owned business, strongly dedicated to their community. The shop is owned by couple Jill and Matt and his Mother Maria, which is located in Katonah, NY. Eiluj Beauty
You don’t find many small owned cosmetics shops in Westchester but Eiluj Beauty has been serving the community since 2003. They have been voted ‘Best in Westchester’ and are also located in Katonah, NY. This beauty lounge offers top of the line beauty skincare products as well as their own makeup line called Eiluj Beauty Cosmetics, which launched in 2018.
Palmer & Purchase
Palmer & Purchase is another stylish boutique, whose first location opened in 2009 in Larchmont, NY. Since then, they have opened 2 other shops in Rye, NY and Westhampton Beach, NY. Their focus is personal styling and helping their clients find the perfect gift.
Zen Auras
We can all definitely get in the Zen zone this time of year and Zen Auras can help! They sell all non-toxic and high quality soy blend candles.
