The Best Of Westchester Party was a blast! My favorite part was trying out the local cuisine and connecting with local businesses. The event wasn’t just catered to businesses but to the community as a whole. Westchester Magazine is a lifestyle magazine. It has over 300,00 readers in and around the county!
The magazine highlights arts and culture, beauty, health, shopping, dining, and more! Every year, they along with the readers select the best of the best in the county. Every year in July, they have an awesome party to celebrate the winners!
At the event, they had live music in every section creating a fun and upbeat ambiance. There were over 20 top restaurants that provided a sample of their best dishes. From shrimp n’ girts, tacos, jambalaya, and yummy desserts … you name it there was something for everyone!
Arrival To The Glen Island Harbour Club
I went to The Best Of Westchester Party with my sister, it was her first time going! I had gone to BOW in 2019 and was excited to show her around. We purchased the VIP tickets. Which included an hour early admission at 6:00 pm instead of the general ticket which is at 7:00 pm. The VIP also includes access to the after-party at Noma Social which starts at 10:00 pm.
We got there around 6:30 pm, once we parked and checked in, we took the shuttle to the club. Which was within walking distance, but if you are wearing heels and it’s hot the shuttle is a good idea! Once there we made our way to the outside area on the left of the main entrance. This section had a nice lively scene with Caribbean music and some yummy food! There we met with Diane who is the owner of Italy In A Jar, whom I featured in Mother’s Day Gifts From Westchester Businesses blog post!
During The Event
I enjoyed seeing my friends there and chatting for what seemed seconds. Then take a quick selfie and keep it moving. As Diane said, “ there is a lot going on”. Which there definitely was, with music playing in every area. People talking left and right, and my eyes kept going toward the crowd and the tasty food samples! And boy did we try some amazing samples! Some of my favorites were the peach and crab croquette from Alvin and Friends. I also liked the avocado toast from The Tasty Table and the shrimp and grits from Southern Table. For drinks, I enjoyed the classic Sangria from Manor Sangria. And the pineapple-flavored rum also from Alvin and friends.

After making our way to all areas, we decided to head out and ended up calling it a night around 9:15 pm.
The Best Of Westchester’s 2022 party was fun but went that night went by so fast!
If you haven’t been check it out next year! The VIP ticket is worth it because you get it before the bigger crowd. Get there early because leading up the area you will hit a bit of traffic. As far as what to bring, I would suggest the essentials in a crossbody bag, so that you are hands-free.
There isn’t much of a dress code. But, I would suggest wearing something causal that’s comfortable. Since most of the time there you are walking.
