Is smelling good a good New Year’s resolution?
It is one for me, I mean who wouldn’t want a new perfume with each new season!? Through some experimenting, I have found that I gravitate towards fragrances that fall under the warm florals family. Listed below, are perfumes that I have smelled recently and fall under that catagory.
Valentino
Donna Born In Roma Eau de Parfum
Starting off the list with the Valentino Donna Born In Roma. First time I sprayed this fragrance I couldn’t stop smelling it. After a couple of whiffs from other perfumes I knew this was the One. Some of its notes are pink pepper, black currant, jasmine and bourbon vanilla. It’s a beautiful feminine yet edgy scent without being too overpowering. I like a perfume that is versatile and this one is perfect for work or a night out.
Valentino
Voce Viva Eau de Parfum
For a more grown up and sophisticated scent, try Voce Viva Eau de Parfum. It’s like the older sister to Donna Born In Roma. It’s still a floral scent but starts off lighter and ends with woody and musky scent. It has notes of mandarin orange, gardenia, Tonka bean and musk. It’s a classy scent for spring and summer nights.
Viktor&Rolf
Flowerbomb Ruby Orchid Eau de Parfum
A warm floral scent but with fruity notes is Flowerbomb Ruby Orchid by Viktor & Rolf. Between us, I wasn’t a fan of the original Flowerbomb, it was way too powdery. Yet, this is one suave and creamy, with notes like vine peach and ruby orchid.
TOM FORD
Fucking Fabulous
Last on the list, has a name that is eye-catching, F**king Fabulous, this Tom Ford perfume is not for the faint of heart. Some of its notes include leather, lavender, cashmeran and vanilla. You are either going to like it or hate it, either way I encourage you to give it a whiff next time you are in the store.
